CapitalBio system integrated with VigeneTech

CapitalBio Corporation, a leading Chinese life science company which develops and markets biochip technologies, tools and services and VigeneTech which develops image analysis solutions for bioscience research, announced a strategic partnership to create integrated hardware-software solutions for protein array analysis. Customized OEM software made from VigeneTech will be integrated with CapitalBio LuxScan microarray scanners to provide fully integrated and personalized solutions.

Initial OEM products will be built around the VigeneTech MicroVigeneTM commercial microarray image analysis software. The hardware control component would be embedded in the MicroVigeneTM protein array analysis suite, which supports all types of protein array application platforms. This fully integrated system can be easily expanded to support both commercial and custom arrays. This highly automated image acquisition and image/array analysis system shall fulfill all the demands of high quality and high throughput needed for array applications in all area of clinical diagnostics and life science research.

Professor Jing Cheng, CEO and Founder of CapitalBio noted ¨C ¡°As applications in array image analysis advance we decided to partner with the best in the business. VigeneTech will bring a new dimension to the analysis possibilities realizable with LuxScan chip scanners, for protein analysis and for cell and tissue analysis.¡± Dr Minzi Ruan, CEO of VigeneTech commented ¨C ¡°VigeneTech has gained wide respect with its imaging solutions, but we wanted to be able to bring our expertise to clients on a fully developed system. Partnering with CapitalBio allows us to build a system on a wholly dependable and advanced scanning-analysis platform for which we can share further development. This will bring continuity to our product solutions.¡±
